W. C. Fields during his last days in a hospital was seen by a visiting friend reading the Bible. His friend was a bit surprised and asked him why. W. C. responded, "I am looking for the loop-holes."
There may not be “loop-holes” in the Bible but there are definitely laws and rules that can change our lives.
If you were arrested and faced charges that could result in your incarceration for many years, what would you do? Call a Lawyer? Why? It would be vital to know and exercise every single law in your favor to stay free. You would want no rock unturned to keep your freedom. In America, we believe your rights are so important we will appoint a lawyer to represent you even if you can’t afford one.
Christian Advocates wants you to receive the very best legal advice and help you know your rights when you are served with a medical sentence that is going to be long term or even terminal. You need someone who knows your rights with God. Someone who will not plead "No Contest" and surrender. Let us go to the Law Books with you - help prepare your case - and FIGHT!
The following is a discussion of Biblical Law regarding sickness and disease. We cannot list all the scriptures in this study; but, we will attempt to present you with the basic ones that guarantee your rights. You are welcome to call, email, or make an appointment to discuss any issues troubling you. This is all about getting the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding that - with the power of God's Word - will set you free.
AS YOU READ THESE SCRIPTURES THAT ESTABLISH YOUR RIGHTS TO LIFE AND HEALTH, YOU WILL BEGIN TO SEE AREAS IN YOUR LIFE THAT MUST BE CORRECTED IN ORDER FOR THE LAW TO WORK. YOU MUST MAKE THOSE CHANGES OR THE LAW WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WORK EFFECTIVELY IN YOUR DEFENSE!
We are going to start in the book of Proverbs. Here we find the foundational scriptures that will establish why the Bible works for the believer.
In Proverbs 3:1-2 Solomon exhorts, My son, do not forget my teaching (my words), but keep my commands (my Laws) in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity. These are two of the practical values for studying God’s Word - long life and prosperity.
Proverbs 3:7-8 gives us 3 KEYS leading to long life and prosperity...
1 Be not wise in your own eyes: Don’t depend on your own abilities and resources to get through. You must abandon the “I’ll do it my way,” theme if you desire God’s help. Learn humility. (Spend time meditating on this)
2. Fear the LORD. Scripture teaches we are not to fear what can destroy our bodies; but, rather fear Him who can destroy both body and SOUL. If you sincerely want God to intervene in your behalf there must be a respect for him. If you do not respect and fear Him and His word you will violate His Laws feeling there is nothing He will do about it. There has already been one judgment of the earth and everyone was feeling no fear and no respect right up to the time of the global flood. Jesus warns us not to make the same mistake.
3. Depart from evil. Evil is poison. Evil will destroy you spiritually, physically, mentally and yes even financially. Don't play with it; don't entertain it in your mind; DEPART FROM IT!
Continuing in evil after you and decided to come to Christ would like getting a diagnogsis from a doctor who promised he could cure you then returning home and continue the same unhealty life style.
The PROMISE we get from these Scriptures is: like medicine these WORDS shall be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones. We must honor and respect God AND turn away from the things that are causing our sickness. We change our habits; we take the medication one, two, three, or four times a day AS THE INSTRUCTIONS SAY. We take it by faith; continually, consistantly, until we are cured. We don't take one pill - check out "how we feel" - and throw the rest away saying, "I'm not better, those don't work."
That is exactly how we deal with God most of the time. We give Him and His Word one chance and look for a change. If we don't see or feel changed we throw it in the trash.
Romans 3:23 teaches us the wages of sin (living in violation of God’s law) is death – so that is certainly not the way to life and health and is the OPPOSITE WAY we want to go.
Proverbs 9:10-11: The fear/respect of the Lord is the beginning of getting wisdom; the getting knowledge of the God brings understanding. Through God your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.
Solomon continues exhorting us as to the Great Value we can derive from these Scriptures. Proverbs 4:20-22: My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health (medicine) to all their flesh.
These teachings must be taken into our hearts (remember we are talking about life or death medication) before we can go forward to deliverance from sickness and disease that threatens to destroy us. Knowing that this is the Word of God and that it is health and medicine to our flesh is the beginning to the reversal of your the condition.
Exodus 15:26 If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, He said I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. I am the Lord who heals you. This verse becomes one we wright down as part of our defence against sickness. You can plead your case through Jesus with full confidence knowing you are in covenant with God.
You simply state, 1. I am diligently heeding Your voice Lord. 2. I do what is right in Your sight 3. I keep Your commandments
I hear; I do; I keep! Therefore, according to His Word I am safe and secure and healed!! Leviticus 26.3-4 (similar) If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees of the field their fruit.
I follow; I obey!

I receive favor and increase! Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? I can trust God’s Word. If wrote it in His Word, He will do it!

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the Lord your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers...

The LORD will sustain him upon his sickbed; In his illness, You will restore him to health.

When God delivered the children of Isreal He not only healed them but gave them an abundance of possessions and wealth. Psalm 105:37 He brought them out with silver and gold, and there was none feeble among His tribes.
We are taught that God heals through His Word. Psalms 107:20 He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (their hurt/sinking/distress/depression). This is prophetic in that Jesus became the Word and walk among us. He became the Word in the flesh that healed and delivered all that came to Him.

The last part of this verse tells us to ask for things to be as perfect on earth as they are in Heaven. If there is no sickness in heaven we ask there be no sickness in us.
